Not Your Average Liquor Store

Our emphasis is on customer service! However, to us it is more than simply “service with a smile” or “can I help you find something?” We try very hard to provide accurate information about our products and we go “the extra mile” to help you. For instance, we will actually get out from behind the counter and assist you in your selection and make recommendations if needed. Likewise, if we don’t know the answer to a question, we will get on-line or on the phone to try to get you the information you desire. If we can’t get it immediately, we will search it out and get back to you as soon as possible.

More importantly, we view customer service a little differently than most. It doesn’t just stop with the sale of a product, we want to provide our customers with opportunities to experience new wines and liquors through regular samplings.  We conduct wine samplings every other Thursday beginning with the first Thursday of each month.  We open the bottles at 4 P.M. for those who need to "speed sample" and run!   Then, at 6:30 we provide an "educational" format where we introduce one wine at a time while the wine rep or our wine expert tells you all about it.  We use real glasses and have live music during this sampling session.  We also provide samples of unique food pairings with many of our wines.  There is always a table of cheeses, crackers, breads and various pallet cleansing goodies at each sampling.

In addition to our unique samplings, we host other events that separate us from the stereo-typical liquor store.  We do pot luck samplings where we cook the entre' and customers bring a dish.  For Thanksgiving this year, we cooked a 22 pound turkey with all the trimmings, cleared out enough floor space for 5 tables and chairs and had Thanksgiving Dinner with about 25 customers while we sampled "Turkey Wines!"  We host tailgate parties, in our parking lot, before the Kentucky football games and provide all the food and beverages.  We host "Cornhole" Tournaments on Sunday afternoons when the weather is nice.  We have a movie night on Mondays during the winter months.  That's right, we have a projector and big screen and we invite people in to watch a good movie, have a couple of beers and eat some popcorn.  We like to call it doing things with a "TWIST"!  We host Progressive Dinners periodically, where we rent a limo and venture off to 3 different restaraunts, sampling wine in between stops.  Similarly, in the warmer months we charter bus trips to vineyards for outdoor concerts and various entertainment events.  Customer Service for us encompasses far more than helping you with a purchase, we want to provide you with fun times as well.

We are always looking to serve our customers and show our appreciation. Moreover, we want you to have a classy place where you can shop for adult beverages and not have to worry about the stereotypical stuff that is associated with a “liquor store!” I personally prefer “wine & spirits!”. It sounds so much classier!
