2005 Budini Cabernet Sauvignon, Mendoza, Argentina, 14% alcohol, 5 months in French and American oak, $12.50 at Twisted Cork, tasted 2/18/2009.
The pleasant nose had cassis and blackberry aromas with lightly herbal highlights. There was a medium level of somewhat simple fruit and a bit of a tannic finish. This is an easy to drink Cab for current drinking that would also go well with just about any food needing a red wine. The Raymond Rating = 85 points.
