New lighter-style red Zin at The Cork

2006 Peachy Canyon “Incredible Red” Zinfandel, Paso Robles, California, 13.9% alcohol, tasted 6/12/09, $12.19. Light color for a red Zin. Blackberries, licorice, and dried herbs on the nose. A soft, lightly extracted, easy-drinking Zin with medium fruit. Not complex, but very pleasant in the mouth and on the finish. Would be good for casual drinking or with hamburgers. The Raymond Rating = 86 points.
