2007 La Villa Pinot Grigio, IGT, Italy, tasted 7/23/2009, $10.50. Lemon peel and raw almonds on the nose. Light-bodied with medium fruit and finish. A pleasant, simple Pinot Grigio. Distributed by Josh with Heidelberg. Raymond Rating = 84 points
 
2008 Volteo 50% Viura + 35% Sauvignon Blanc + 15% Viognier, Vino de la Tierra de Castilla, Spain, tasted 7/23/2009, $11.99. Melon, flint, and light herbal notes on the nose. Good fruit and nice finish, though a little simple. Distributed by Dan Smith with SWS.  Raymond Rating = 85 points
 
2008 Volteo Garnacha Rosé, Vino de la Tierra de Castilla, Spain, tasted 7/23/2009, $11.99. Bright raspberry and floral aromas with a touch of pipe tobacco. Dry but not astringent. Nice fruit and finish with some complexity. Great brunch or picnic wine. Distributed by Dan Smith with SWS.  Raymond Rating = 86 points
 
2008 Coyote Creek Chardonnay, California, tasted 7/23/2009, $9.99. Tropical fruits and a little oak on the lightly spicy nose. Lush fruit and nice finish, though little complexity. Distributed by Cutting Edge. Raymond Rating = 84 points
 
2005 La Villa Montepulciano D’Abruzzo, DOC, Abruzzo, Italy, tasted 7/23/2009, $10.50. Cola and plum with lightly herbal and barnyard aromas on the nose. A light-bodied red with light fruit. Soft and simple. OK, but little of interest. Distributed by Josh with Heidelberg. Raymond Rating = 78 points
 
2007 Volteo 60% Tempranillo + 40% Shiraz, Vino de la Tierra de Castilla, Spain, tasted 7/23/2009, $11.99. Slightly smoky berries, tobacco, and dried herbs on the nose. Medium fruit, finish, and length. Distributed by Dan Smith with SWS. Raymond Rating = 86 points

2007 Coyote Creek Cabernet Sauvignon, California, tasted 7/23/2009, $9.99. Berries, apple peel, and vanilla with light herbal notes on the nose. Good fruit, soft, and simple with a slightly sweet impression on the finish. An easy-drinking Cab. Distributed by Cutting Edge. Raymond Rating = 84 points
 
2004 Guido Porro “Vigna Lazzairasso” Barolo, DOCG, Serralunga D’Alba, Italy, 14.5% alcohol, 500 cases made, tasted 7/23/2009, $49.99. Black cherry, blackberry, plum, cola, and briar on the nose. Well-structured with medium fruit and some complexity. Medium length and finish. Rather soft for a Barolo. Distributed by Josh with Heidelberg. Raymond Rating = 88 points
