2005 Chateau D’Argadens Red Bordeaux, AOC Bordeaux Supérieur, by Maison Sichel, 55% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, France, 14% alcohol, $13.75 at Twisted Cork, tasted 8/20/2009. The very nice nose of earth, plums, spice, and some cedar continued to open with air developing additional aromas of tobacco and rose petals. It is well-structured with good fruit, some complexity, and a nice finish. Though drinking nicely now, it will continue to hold together for a few years. A very good value for a red Bordeaux of this quality. The Raymond Rating = 88 points.
